Marcos on September 21, 1972 when the MNLF began to massively fight against the Philippine Government forces in the entire MINSUPALA.

The outbreak of Martial Law in the 21st day of September, 1972 greatly disconnected the educational path of biggest elementary school in the heart of Indanan District. Fortunately, there were two sacrificing teachers who bravely opened grade I class under the house of late Hon. Mayor Andan Indanan. According to the District In-Charge of Indanan South, Sir Samoore S. Ladjahali, he was one of the pupils during that time right after the fresh postponement of horrible declaration of the unusual law in 1976. It was the foundation of the above-named school before it would have just become annex school long years ago. It was almost a half decade when the school children and teachers interacted in a learning condition where there were no school buildings, blackboards/chalkboards, desks, chairs and insufficient textbooks provided by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). The establishment of the school; however, eventually continued to elevate its status into complete primary with an abundant increase of enrollment.  In the event of its peak point to achieve its first elementary status school year 1979-1980, Poblacion Elementary School pronounced its Grade VI graduates with a joint march of Grade IV pupils. The reason for this was inadequate number of cohort survival rate of the school.  Accelerated promotion of pupils was also adopted by the school just to keep its closing exercises up with maximum candidates for graduation.

After a decade, the aforementioned school unconditionally lowered back its complete elementary status into primary level when Panglima Indanan Central School began to flourish its scholastic wings over the core of Indanan District.  Its recovery just occurred in the academic year of 2007-2008 simultaneously with the attachment of its annexes, Dayuan Primary School and Manilop Primary School under the leadership of Sir Kerwin C. Asid, Elementary School Head Teacher 3. In 2009 there was re-alignment among  school heads. Ma'am Sitti Palman I. Mohammad, Elementary School Principal 1 was assigned at the said school. She was the school administrator  until 2013. School year 2013 was my first day as school head of Poblacion Elementary and annexes because Ma'am Palman was transferred to Panglima Indanan Central School. The transfer of Sir Kerwin to Mohammad Jadjurie, Jolo I District cause me, Alyasir A. Hussam as head of Poblacion ES and annexes. The schools are accessible to Parang, Jolo and other Municipalities of Sulu. It just covers the distance of 11 Km. away from the town of Jolo. It is situated by the sidewalk of Indanan-Parang National Highway. It rises in the donated lot of Municipal Government of Indanan.
